The end of winter, and the beginning of Spring, is one of my favourite times of the year to style.
I love layering my outfits, and creating the perfect outfit no matter whether my coat or jumper is still on. Plus the sheer amounts of accessories available during winter means that it’s the perfect time of year for anyone with an accessories fetish like myself. Not only do we get to dedicate a section of our wardrobes to hats, gloves and scarves but we also get to wear our wintery shoes and in particular boots. And for spring clothes we get to add back in our flowing clothes which we abandoned post haste at the beginning of Winter.
Clothes that work for Winter / Spring.
Ankle boots are great for this time of year. Teamed up with thick cosy socks they’ll keep your toes toasty during the coldest spring weather. For a warmer spring day, worn with thin ankle socks they can be teamed with varying lengths of skirts as well as ankle swinging trousers to keep you cool.
Leather Jackets and Denim Jackets.
Although I must admit I wear my trusty leather coat all year round, the absolute best time to wear it is during Winter / Spring. Still a bit cool outside then layer it up with a thin but cosy jumper, or a long sleeved top. If it’s really cold then throw on a fur stole. During the warmer weather it can be worn over tea dresses, and tops.
Shorts and mini skirts.
You might have given up on your trusty mini skirt during winter, but now is the time to bring it back out Team it with thin 10 denier tights, and wear with ankle boots. Or wear a cosy winter coat on top for the nearly naked look.
